A research into the basic principle of furniture. A structure made up of wooden battens.Elevated from the ground. Low at the ground the structure is realizing a tension between ground and human.

The different pieces of furniture form low islands in space. An island to eat or work, an island to sit, an island to sleep.

Light moves in and around the lamellas. Slim solid brass legs accentuate the connection with the ground. The four legs are carrying the heavy ring of ash wood. The ring itself is kept together by the outer two lamellas that function as a wood joint.
All lamellas together are able to carry different types of tabletops and pillows, thereby supporting various daily activities.
